About Me

Lydia Self Portrait

My Journey

In my mid-thirties, I reached one of the darkest points in my life. I was overwhelmed with anxiety, confusion, and doubt; feelings that spilled into my work, my sense of self, and even my closest relationships. It was yoga therapy that offered me a way through. By learning to breathe with intention, move with awareness, and listen to my body’s wisdom, I slowly began to release the tension I had carried for years and reconnect with a part of myself that felt steady, resilient, and whole. That transformation didn’t just change my life it became the foundation for my calling to help others find their own path to healing.

Today, I am a Certified Sex Therapist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Yoga and Meditation Instructor, and Yoga Psychology Certified practitioner. For more than two decades, I’ve devoted my life to bridging the health of mind and body so that healing feels whole, integrated, and transformative.

"Every transformation demands as its precondition 'the ending of a world' - the collapse of an old philosophy of life."  ~ Carl J.

My Approach

My work combines the science of therapy with the wisdom of yoga, psychology, and somatic tools. I guide clients in calming the nervous system, releasing stored tension, and reconnecting with themselves in a way that feels safe, grounded, and empowering. This process often opens the door to profound shifts: healing old wounds, rediscovering desire, and building relationships that are more authentic and deeply connected.

What sets my work apart is the integration of clinical sexology, yoga therapy, and somatic psychology. This holistic blend creates not only a path to healing but also a framework for lasting transformation helping clients embody resilience, openness, and joy in their everyday lives.

Most of all, I care deeply about the people I serve. My mission is to walk alongside my clients and students with compassion and curiosity, supporting them as they move beyond personal limitations, break free from emotional suffering, and release physical pain. Together, we create space for healing, growth, and the freedom to live a more authentic, connected, and radiant life.

Beyond The Therapy Room

Beyond private sessions, I’ve had the honor of leading workshops, intensives, and international retreats where individuals experience breakthroughs that ripple across every aspect of their lives. Through these spaces, I’ve witnessed people step into their own power, release long-held patterns, and embrace life with new vitality.
